Kaitlyn Laabs: Director and Executive Producer
Emmy Award-winning producer and former Division I softball player with 15+ years producing experience with NCAA, Olympic and professional sports teams. She’s developed and produced over 200 hours of programming for Hulu, Netflix, Showtime and HBO. Laabs spearheaded teams in field and post for the Emmy Award-nominated 9 Months with Courteney Cox and the GLAAD Award-nominated Living For the Dead. Her grandma’s stories of the All American Girls Baseball League days first sparked Kaitlyn’s love of sports. This film will fulfill a dream three generations in the making.
Mary Reese: Editor and Co-Executive Producer
Award-winning “preditor” with 20 years experience in sports, documentary and music videos. She’s led edit teams for ESPN, ABC, FOX and NBC, on everything from The X Games to NASCAR to Sunday Night Baseball. She’s cut feature documentaries like the Comic Con-winning Robert Williams: Mr Bitchin’ and powerful unscripted series like VICELAND’s Dopesick Nation. She’s a slayer of the keys whether it’s an AVID edit bay or an electric piano.
Newton Ward: Director of Photography
Emmy Award Award-nominated cinematographer and producer. His camera work has been featured on Discovery Channel's Emmy Award-winning docuseries Deadliest Catch, Hulu’s GLAAD Award-nominated Living for the Dead and on premium networks such HBO Max, Amazon Prime and Peacock. He joined Team Untapped as a tribute to his mother, grandmother and aunts– the so-called “pack of wolves” that raised him to support, uplift and celebrate women.
Jairus Davis: Cinematographer
Emmy Award-winning cinematographer with 15 years experience shooting and producing high-end content for the NBA, WNBA, NFL and NCAA. He’s led camera teams on premium sports series such as HBO’s Hard Knocks, Netflix’s Quarterback, ESPN’s 30 for 30 and Showtime’s Boys in Blue. He’s also a proud girl dad and an advocate for women.
